A Day Late

Oh, the sweet irony.  All that mess but I can't stand to have my embroidery floss messy.  And it must be grouped by colors!

This morning I made the most beautiful johnny cakes I have ever made!  Yum!

After Dinner Drawing

I've been painting small again.  These are all 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
One reason I enjoy using the small paper: when my husband and I go out to dinner together, we like to take paper to draw on after we've eaten.  This tiny paper is so easy to throw into my purse!  And we amuse ourselves for a bit - lingering after our meal.

I like to draw when I am watching movies I have already seen.

Gratitude

This drawing reminds me of the feeling of gratitude - gratitude so big you feel like you could burst!
I experience that feeling when I have just bought laundry soap, dish soap, toilet paper and shampoo. I feel so rich!!
But I love those moments when I am washed with gratitude unexpectedly. Any moment...doing anything...and there is it!  Breathing is easier, the body feels light and you can feel an inner smile bigger than the container of your body.

MIM: A Fieldtrip

Yesterday we went to MIM: Musical Instrument Museum.
Amazing!  If you are ever in Phoenix it is worth the visit.

I was taken by some of the color and pattern work on the instruments,
as well as the costumes used in music celebrations.

New music discovery?  These guys were one of my favorites.

It is all handmade by her.  I LOVE IT!
It warmed my heart...and it is fun to hug!
